Marushka Z. Laszlo is an oil painter and teacher. She studied for five years at the Academy of Realist Art Boston under award winning instructors and was immersed in the full time atelier program for four years. Marushka was a scholarship recipient and went on to teach drawing at the Academy for two years before moving on to focus on her own art practice.

Presently Marushka splits her time between Boston and New Bedford, MA where she keeps a north lit studio and is an instructor of drawing and painting at the Massachusetts Academy of Fine Art. It is at MAoFA that Marushka's visual language has expanded as she explores natural light in all it’s numinous and physical properties. Natural north light has since become a sacred keystone of her painting practice.
